No. 14 gamescomCamp 2010: accommodation reservations can now be made
After the great success of the premiere, the camp at the Rhine bank once again offers sleeping accommodations, fun and a chill out atmosphere - Prices start at ¤ 29.50
Beside gamescom, the gamescomCamp also celebrated a successful premiere close to the fair grounds in August 2009. The tent paradise at the Rhine bank nearly counted almost 2,000 visitors last year. This year again from 18th to 22nd August, the organisers expect a run on the camping area in the Cologne Youth Park, which opens at 5 p.m., 18th August. From now on, camping plots and accommodations at the camp can be booked at www.gamescomcamp.de .
The camp 2010 is the ideal location for those looking for an urban accommodation after the trade fair and the festival. The camping paradise at the Rhine bank offers a chill out and beach club atmosphere as well as numerous sport and leisure activities. Soccer, basketball and miniature golf as well as action and adventure with high wire climbing are only some of the exciting activities at the gamescomCamp 2010. Those who prefer to relax at the campfire can enjoy Cologne's skyline at nights. In the mornings, people directly head off the short way to the fair grounds, which are situated no longer than ten minutes away. The camp, once again, offers sleeping accommodations from 29.50 euros and, optionally, combined camp-fair-tickets at the preferential price of ¤ 39.50, also valid as ticket for all types of public transports of the Rhein-Sieg Transport System (VRS) and Rhein-Ruhr Transport System (VRR) at the day when visiting the trade fair. Catering will be well provided; for a few euros only breakfast buffet or snacks for the day will be available. The campers can unhurriedly exchange impressions and end the gamescom day at a cosy note with fellows at the youth centre café or at the Rhine beach as well as at the camp fire on the open air area. Of course in the gamescomCamp, a free of charge WLAN access is provided for those who are even not yet tired of the games fever in the evenings.
